Jeff Young

Executive Pastor

Jeff Young has served as the Executive Pastor at Champion Forest since September 2021, bringing over 30 years of pastoral leadership experience. A self-motivated team-builder and strategic problem solver, Jeff is passionate about fostering a culture of trust, clear vision, and synergy in ministry. His leadership philosophy is built on the belief that "trust and truth-telling are inseparably linked, but trust is the highest value in leadership."

Jeff and his wife, Carol, have been married for over 35 years. They have three children and six incredible grandchildren whom they adore.

He graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Marketing and later earned a Master’s degree in Christian Education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Before coming to Champion Forest, Jeff served in key leadership roles at influential churches across Texas, Arkansas, Virginia, and Alabama, focusing on discipleship, leadership development, and ministry alignment. His experience includes overseeing spiritual formation, implementing discipleship strategies, and equipping leaders to expand the reach of the gospel.

As Executive Pastor, Jeff has played a vital role in aligning teams, refining ministry strategies, and ensuring that Champion Forest remains focused on Making Disciples, Loving Our Community, and Strengthening the Church. His leadership has helped shape a staff culture that values collaboration, excellence, and a deep belief that lives can be changed by the power of the gospel.
